Symptoms Conventional Medicine: Was weak from the transplant and apparently chemotherapy combined. Also had Graft-vs-Host disease as result of the transplant, which caused dry eyes, dry mouth, and swelling in hands
Intervention Conventional: Chemotherapy (unclear if he used the stronger form of chemo first); clinical trial (milder form of chemotherapy); Surgery (bone marrow stem cell transplant)
Intervention Results: Clinical trial chemotherapy resulted in cancer cell count going down. Eventually got the bone marrow stem cell transplant which apparently eliminated the cancer. He was weak when he got the transplant, but his strength is slowly coming back, in large part due to exercise
Cancer Treatment Status: Success
